This knowledge is gained though the creation of projects: a s-hook, a flint and steel striker, and a leather awl.

Blade Smithing
As a boy the idea of crafting my own sword dazzled my youthful fantasies as I thought blade smithing was all that blacksmiths do.
Backyard Blacksmithing
The true heart of the understanding of blacksmithing. With backyard blacksmithing we will create your very own blacksmithing shop: forge, anvil, charcoal maker, tongs. We will learn the art of destructive testing to learn how to find out the quality of metals.
